Camping-Car Plus: victim of a data leak, passwords exposed

Camping-Car Plus, a French e-commerce retailer of motorhome and camper-van accessories, notified customers in May 2026 of a data breach exposing names, postal and email addresses, phone numbers and account login credentials including passwords; no banking data was affected.

On 23 May 2026, Camping-Car Plus β€” a French online retailer specialising in accessories and equipment for motorhomes and converted camper vans β€” notified its customers that it had suffered a cybersecurity incident resulting in a leak of personal data.

According to the company's notification, the breach affected the customer-account database. The attack vector and the precise number of affected accounts were not disclosed.

The exposed data is reported to include:

  • First and last names
  • Email addresses
  • Postal addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Account login identifiers and passwords

Camping-Car Plus stated that no banking data was involved, as payment details are not stored on its systems. As a precaution, the retailer urged customers to reset their passwords immediately and to change the same credentials anywhere else they had been reused, and warned them to stay alert to phishing emails, fraudulent SMS messages and impersonation calls that could follow the leak.
