La Quiberonnaise

On 3 April 2026, La Quiberonnaise — a historic Breton fish cannery (conserverie) based in Quiberon and producing canned sardines and seafood since 1921 — confirmed a data breach affecting its customers. In an email sent to clients, the company disclosed that an unauthorized party had gained access to personal data held in its systems.

The fraudulent access was identified and secured, and the company reported the incident to France's data-protection regulator, the CNIL. At the time of disclosure the breach was still under analysis, and no figure for the number of affected customers or leaked records was published.

The exposed personal data was reported to include:

  • First and last names
  • Postal addresses
  • Email addresses
  • Telephone numbers

No financial or payment data was reported as compromised. La Quiberonnaise said it had put additional security measures in place and advised customers to remain vigilant against potential phishing attempts using the leaked contact details.
