Son-Video.com & EasyLounge: customer data leak after a cyberattack

Son-Video.com & EasyLounge

On 10 April 2026, Son-Video.com β€” a leading French online retailer of hi-fi, audio and home-cinema equipment, operating alongside its sister brand EasyLounge β€” notified customers by email that it had been the victim of a data leak affecting part of its customer base. According to the company, an unauthorised third party gained access to personal data held on its platform.

The exposed information was personal and contact data rather than financial credentials. The categories disclosed include:

  • Identity details (first name, surname, title)
  • Contact information (email address, phone number)
  • Full postal address
  • Customer account and order history

Son-Video.com stated that no banking data and no account passwords were compromised, and that its authentication systems remained secure, so customer account access was not directly at risk. The exact number of affected accounts was not disclosed.

While no financial data leaked, the combination of names, contact details and order history creates a meaningful risk of highly targeted phishing and fraud, with attackers able to impersonate the retailer convincingly. The company confirmed the incident and advised customers to remain vigilant against suspicious messages purporting to come from Son-Video.com or EasyLounge.
